The 1st grass flying field was set in Sinj and therefore the first industrial route was opened in 1931 by the Yugoslav airline Aeroput. It joined Zagreb with Belgrade through Rijeka, Split and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and maintained this route till the beginning of the Second war.
In the sixties the field was resettled from Sinj to Resnik. The new field advanced, designed by creator Darko Stipevski (Tehnika, Zagreb), was opened on twenty five Gregorian calendar month 1966. The apron had dimensions of solely 200 x 112 m and vi parking positions with a planned capability of one 150,000 passengers. In 1968 traveller numbers already stood at 150,737 and in 1969. at 235,000. In 1967. the apron was extended for the primary time to accommodate ten craft.
A new larger terminal building designed by creator Branko Gruica (Projektant, Mostar) was made and opened in 1979 to accommodate traffic for the eighth Mediterranean Games control in Split in Sep. the biggest pre-war traveller numbers were achieved in 1987 totalling 1,151,580 passengers and 7,873 landings.

Within the years that followed, most of the traffic were international organization and United Nations freight planes, like the C-5 Galaxy, MD-11, Boeing 747 and C-130 Hercules. when 1995 the civilian traffic figures began rising once more, and at last in 2008 surpassed the 1987 record.
In 2005 the terminal got a significant facelift by creator Ivan Vulić (VV-Projekt, Split) adding an additional gate, the glass fasade, further because the award winning field entrance structure consisting of steel/fabric "trees" light by multi-colour LEDs.
The new apron designed by Ivan Vulić, Ivan Radeljak and Mate Žaja was made in 2011 with the capability slightly over the recent one however with higher security conditions. the value of this investment was €13 million, and it enclosed 34,000 money supply of recent parking zone for craft, further because the area for future body works below the apron.
Vikendom aerodrom mjeri najprometniji dio tjedna s otprilike 200 letova i 50.000 putnika.

ABOUT BAST
On the mere sloping ground of the Biokovo, on the 150 m height above sea level, 2 km east of Baška Voda, Bast is placed. The name Bast, probably drawing its roots from the ancient times (Biston), was written for the first time in 1434. Besides the examples of the wonderfully preserved Dalmatian architecture (buildings paved with rock plates with stone chimneys and salt-pans) a place is also decorated by St Roko\'s church (XV ct) in gothic style and a late-baroque Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (1636) which in the end of the XIX century receives new marble alters (J. Barišković). Around the church there is an old graveyard where there are the four most interesting tomb stones with chiselled-in shields, swords and a half-moon (XVI – XV ct). On the north from the village there is an archeological site, St Elias\' chapel (1895) and St Nicolas\' chapel (1926) and by the source Smokvina on the archeological site Grebišće there is a standing tomb-stone decorated with ornaments (XIII/XV). Bast was the center of the parish until 1885 when the parish priest\'s office moved to Baška Voda. Along with the agricultural work, the place also earned a living from the stone-pit, but in the end of the XX century it turns to tourism, and so it offers rooms and apartments in private homes and gastronomical pleasures in the Dalmatian wine-cellar.

O BASTU
Osim primjeraka izvrsno očuvane dalmatinske arhitekture (zgrade pokrivene kamenim pločama s kamenim fumarima i solarima), mjesto krase i crkvica sv. Roka (XV st) u gotičkom stilu i kasnobarokna crkva Uznesenja Blažene Djevice Marije (1636), koja krajem XIX stoljeća dobiva nove mramorne oltare (J. Barišković). Ilije (1895) i sv.
